• How do I get to Uruguay and Which Airport should I arrive/depart out of?

ARRIVAL: MVD (Montevideo International Airport) - Montevideo, Uruguay.

American Airlines is the only airline that provides a direct flight from North America to Montevideo. The American Airlines flight departs out of Miami on Friday - Monday - Wednesday at 11 PM. This direct flight arrives into Montevideo at 9 AM the next morning.


• What is the rate for a Duck Hunting Hunting Trip in Uruguay? And what fees are included/not included?
  

Rates vary from $699 - $750 for duck hunting trips. These rates are per day and include guided duck hunting (2 hunts per day), lodging, meals, beverages, tips, guns. The fees not included in the daily rate:


• Flights to/from Montevideo (MVD) or Buenos Aires (EZE)
  
  
• Ground Transfer - pickup from the Uruguay airport - transfer to the Uruguay Lodge - return to airport for trip back to USA
  
  
• Hunting License
  
  
• Any transfer or stay in Montevideo before/after your duck hunting trip

• What is the Hunting Seasons for Ducks and Perdiz?

Duck Hunting Season - Uruguay: May 1st to September 10th

Perdiz Hunting Season - Uruguay: May 1st to July 31st


• What is the Duck Huntng Lodge Like?

The duck hunting trips are taken at the FORTIN LODGE or the RIO BRANCO LODGE.

Both of these duck hunting lodges are located in the eastern part of Uruguay - the only site where duck hunting is consistent and good with good volume and variety of species all day.



FORTIN DUCK HUNTING LODGE - 3.5 hours to MVD
RIO BRANCO HUNTING LODGE - 4.5 hours to MVD

The Ground Transfer fee that is included on your FINAL invoice (paid BEFORE you get to Uruguay) takes care of all the transfers within Uruguay - pick up at the aiport - trip to the Duck Hunting Lodge and return to the airport.

• What is the limit for duck hunting in Uruguay?

There is no limit for dove hunting in Uruguay. One can travel to Uruguay any month and enjoy the unlimited high volume of doves.

Duck hunting has liberal limits and Los Gauchos offers waterfowl hunters 4 boxes of shells for the AM hunt and 3 boxes of shells for the PM hunt. We keep the duck hunting consistent as well as the budgets for your shell bill.

For those adding an afternoon or 2 of Upland hunting - Uruguay limits each hunter to 10 Perdiz per day.


• What is the deposit for a Uruguay Duck Hunting Trip? Does Los Gauchos Outfitters accept checks AND credit cards for payments?

The NEW deposit guidelines for a Uruguay Hunting Trip is $500/hunter. Los Gauchos Outfitters accepts checks - Mastercard - Visa for any and all payments for the Uruguay hunting trips and fees.


• Do I need to pack waders for the Uruguay Duck Hunting Trip?

No - Los Gauchos Outfitters offers the duck hunting out of natural dry blinds. We do recommend hip boots - but full waders are NOT necessary.
