Upland hunting in Uruguay is best described as hunting non-waterfowl game birds with pointing breeds, flushing spaniels and brittanies. This upland bird is regulated by a set season and limit. Uruguay Perdiz hunting season begins May 1st and runs until July 31st. The current limit is 10 perdiz per hunter, per day.

The Uruguay hunting trips that include the Upland hunting is a combination with dove hunting or duck hunting or even a full combination of duck and pigeon hunting.
